After lunch we had a surprise visit from the ice cream van – and Ms Silverton and the PTA treated us all to an ice cream! Delicious.

This week, the children have been busy becoming 3D shape detectives, investigating which 3D shapes would roll or slide down a ramp and becoming super amazing researchers to create minibeast fact files. This week we have explored 1 more and 1 less than numbers, described Jack and the Giant and even made a wanted poster to help the Giant find Jack and get his special objects back. Check out the incredible use of phonics to write independently. In addition to all this, the children have been busy using natural objects to make wonderful things such as mazes and rafts.
