On the last day of term the children at school had a couple of lovely surprises. First some of us went down to Woodpecker Court to feed and cuddle the animals. After lunch we had a surprise visit from the ice cream van – and Ms Silverton and the PTA treated us all to an ice cream! Delicious.View album

Our messages for each other in Discovery Class.View album
Another WOW week of learning from Discovery. We’ve learned about rhyming words, retold the story of Jack and the Beanstalk, learned that spelling practice can be fun too and, on top of all that, we are now whizzes at our number bonds to 10. We’ve made sky scanners and binoculars to become explorers of nature and have been extremely creative to make a family memory.View album
Discovery, you keep amazing me!
This week we have explored 1 more and 1 less than numbers, described Jack and the Giant and even made a wanted poster to help the Giant find Jack and get his special objects back. Check out the incredible use of phonics to write independently. In addition to all this, the children have been busy using natural objects to make wonderful things such as mazes and rafts.
Another great week of learning for Discovery class.
We have learned about ‘doubling’, written shopping lists and instructions and had fun and got messy with our tricky word learning. On top of all this, we even had time to explore nature by making our own binoculars, design our own mazes and make origami butterflies. Jude helped make a birds’ table too 🙂
Well done Discovery, you are amazing!
The children in Discovery class have worked really hard as always to show off their super writing, great mathematics learning and some wonderful creations.View album
Another AMAZING week of learning from the children in Discovery. This week, the children have been busy becoming 3D shape detectives, investigating which 3D shapes would roll or slide down a ramp and becoming super amazing researchers to create minibeast fact files. Look at all this wonderful learning!View album
